For at least the next eight days, the Dodgers can dream of an undefeated season.

The Dodgers traveled 15,000 miles roundtrip to beat the Diamondbacks in both Opening Series games Down Under. After Sunday's 7-5 win at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Dodgers don't play a real game again until the following Sunday. 

Clayton Kershaw flashed his Cy Young form, Scott Van Slyke homered and the defending NL West champions opened the MLB season with a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday night at Sydney Cricket Ground, according to an ESPN.com report.

Masahiro Tanaka threw two scoreless innings in his spring debut with the Yankees, striking out three in an exhibition game Saturday against the Phillies, according to an ESPN.com report. 

"I was nervous, but it was a good nervous," said Tanaka, who was most pleased he didn't walk anyone.
